From Heartbreak to Home: How Timmy Found His Second Chance

When 12-year-old Tim, a gray-muzzled Chihuahua mix, arrived at Joybound People & Pets in early October 2025, he was cautious and clearly heartbroken. Through no fault of his own, this tiny dog suddenly found himself in an unfamiliar environment, outside the comfort of his home.
Despite the upheaval, Timmy, as nicknamed by staff, showed glimmers of spunkiness. On walks, he trotted with purpose, nose to the ground, curious and inquisitive. But when it was time to return to his kennel, he hesitated. The shelter, while safe and loving, can be especially overwhelming for senior dogs like Timmy.
