Joybound People & Pets Joins NBCUniversal Local’s 11th Annual ‘Clear the Shelters’ Pet Adoption and Donation Campaign This August
WALNUT CREEK, CA – Joybound People & Pets is proud to participate in NBCUniversal Local’s 11th annual Clear the Shelters campaign, a nationwide pet adoption and donation initiative that has helped nearly 1.2 million pets find loving homes and raised more than $5 million for shelters and rescues across the country since its inception in 2015.
Running from August 1 through August 31, the Clear the Shelters campaign aims to increase awareness and encourage pet adoption from local shelters. Joybound People & Pets is one of hundreds of organizations nationwide joining this month-long effort to promote adoptions and raise essential funds for animal wellness services. Throughout the month Joybound will offer waived fees or discounts on pet adoptions.

This campaign not only elevates the importance of adoption but also showcases the critical services that make those happy endings possible, from expert behavioral support to community-based veterinary care.
Special Adoption Days at Joybound People & Pets
- Friday, August 8 – International Cat Day – (discounted adoption fee 25%)
- Saturday, August 16 – National Clear the Shelters Day – (adoption fees waived all animals)
- Saturday, August 23 – (adoption fees waived for all animals)
- Sunday, August 24 – (adoption fees waived for all animals)
- Tuesday, August 26 – National Dog Day – (discounted adoption fee 25%)
