Vaccinations are an extremely important part of your pet’s health and wellbeing. By teaching their immune system how to recognize and fight off diseases, they can prevent or lessen the severity of illnesses. That’s why Joybound offers free, monthly pet vaccination clinics, held at various locations in Contra Costa County!

Services begin at 8 am and are provided on a first-come, first-served basis (ending no later than 12 pm). Space fills up quickly, so we advise clients to arrive early.
Location
Services Provided for Free
- DHPP (dogs), FVRCP (cats), and Rabies vaccines for both species
- Microchips
- Frontline flea/tick protection
- Pet food distribution
- Community Solutions Table: Spay/neuter, low-cost vet care, and pet retention resources
Please Note
- All patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you in advance for your patience.
- Guardians must be Contra Costa County resident (PROOF REQUIRED) and at least 18 years of age.
- Please bring prior vaccine records.
- Pets will receive a brief health check to ensure they are well enough for vaccination. Please note: This is not a full wellness or diagnostic exam
- All pets must be at least 6 weeks old.
- Dogs must be on a leash.
- Cats must be in carriers.
- Feral cats or community cats will not be served.
- Clinic services held outside (rain or shine).
- Joybound People & Pets reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
- We provide free dog and cat food, flea and tick prevention, and access to pet assistance programs designed to help during times of need.
Joybound’s free vaccine & microchip clinics are funded by Measure X, in collaboration with Contra Costa Animal Services and the City of Richmond.
